Ground logistics

Plan the turnaround like a pro

Use these quick references when coordinating fuel, transport, or overnight parking. They align with the tasks outlined in the flight prep toolkit.

Fuel & maintenance

  • Request AVGAS at least 4h ahead outside mainland hubs.
  • Upload fuel receipts to the compliance hub within 24h of landing.
  • Note de-icing availability (LPPT, LPPR) during winter ops.

Passenger transport

  • Share meeting point photos in the passenger briefing PDF.
  • Offer contingency: public transport option or local driver contact.
  • Flag any apron escort requirements in advance.

Night operations

  • Check lighting NOTAMs and PCL frequencies when operating after sunset.
  • Carry reflective vests for passengers transiting the apron.
  • Pair with the night briefing pack from flight prep.

Local insights

Brief smarter with shared experience

Tap into notes logged by SkyFuns pilots after each rotation. Add your own tips via the community area once you return.

Summer crowding

Expect longer security escort times at LPFR and LPPT during JuneAugust weekends. Build a 30-minute buffer into passenger arrival times.

Winter alternates

Coastal fog at LPCS and LPPR may require a mainland alternate. Coordinate with the compliance team so the flight plan reflects contingency fuel.

Overwater survival gear

Store life vests where passengers can reach them without leaving their seats. For Azores hops, pack a second ELT battery and SPOT tracker.
