A SkyFuns avalia manualmente cada piloto, verifica licencas e exames medicos com as autoridades nacionais e confirma que cada operacao cumpre o Regulamento EASA Air Ops: Regulamento (UE) n.o 965/2012. Aeronaves, documentacao e parceiros de emergencia sao revistos continuamente para que os passageiros saibam quem os transporta e porque estao aprovados.

Compliance is checked before we say “yes”

A mesa de seguranca trabalha diretamente com a aviacao civil portuguesa para verificar cada numero de licenca, certificado medico e apolice de seguro. So ativamos pilotos e aeronaves que cumprem o Regulamento (UE) n.o 965/2012, o Regulamento (CE) n.o 216/2008 e circulares da ANAC sobre voos com partilha de custos. Se a documentacao caducar, os anuncios sao pausados automaticamente ate revisao.

Licence verification
We confirm licence status directly with ANAC records and require pilots to authorise data disclosure.
Operational oversight
Flight plans, crew currency, and aircraft limitations are checked against EASA Air Ops Part-NCO provisions.
Audit trail
All approvals are logged with timestamps so regulators can review the vetting path within minutes.

Pilot vetting

Every SkyFuns pilot signs our safety code, passes ANAC background checks, and shares documentation before publishing their first seat.

  • Credentials PPL or CPL licence, Class 2 medical, and 90-day recency logs uploaded and confirmed with the issuing authority.
  • Flight history Minimum 150 PIC hours and 10 hours in-type within the last 90 days.
  • Background ID verification, ANAC status confirmation, and database screening against EASA enforcement actions.

Aircraft standards

Passengers only fly on aircraft with active airworthiness certificates, airworthiness review certificates (ARC), and documented maintenance.

  • Maintenance logs Review of the last three maintenance releases, including AD compliance, engine hours, and component life limits.
  • Equipment Dual headsets, life vests for coastal or overwater legs, and current first-aid/ELT equipment required onboard.
  • Insurance Pilots supply proof of passenger liability and hull coverage, renewed annually.

Passenger briefing

Clear communication keeps everyone confident�before, during, and after the flight.

  • Pre-flight call Route overview, baggage limits, and weather window shared at least 24h prior.
  • Safety card Aircraft-specific safety card available in-app, printable for passengers, and aligned with Part-NCO passenger briefing guidance.
  • Feedback loop Post-flight debrief collected to monitor pilot adherence and passenger comfort.

Emergency protocols that activate in seconds

SkyFuns coordinates responders, keeps passenger contacts updated, and supplies pilots with the tools to de-escalate incidents swiftly.

Incident reporting

Pilots can trigger SOS from the cockpit or passenger app. Dispatch receives coordinates and flight manifest instantly.

Our team loops in ANAC, aerodrome operations, and emergency services while keeping next of kin informed.

Care follow-up

We coordinate transport, counseling resources, and insurance claims within 24 hours of an incident.

How often do you review pilot documentation?

Licenses, medical certificates, and recent flight logs are checked at onboarding and every 90 days. The dashboard alerts pilots 14 days before a document expires.

What happens if weather cancels my flight?

Pilots must make a go / no-go decision at least 2 hours before departure. You receive an in-app notification with rebooking options or a refund request link.

Do you allow night or IFR flights?

Yes, provided the pilot holds the appropriate ratings and the aircraft is equipped. Additional briefing materials are shared with passengers for IFR operations.
